Invisible Universe, an internet-first animation studio, launches The R3al Metaverse, the first community-driven animated series starring characters inspired by blue chip NFTs.
Invisible Universe, an Internet-first animation studio, has launched “The R3al Metaverse,” the first community-driven animated series that features characters from five blue-chip NFT projects. The animated parody stars characters from beloved NFT collections—Pete from Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Journey from World of Women (WoW), Monty of Cool Cats, Claudine of Doodles, and Sam from Roboto.
The entire series comprises 34 episodes where you will see the five characters becoming friends/enemies, joking around, and maybe even falling in love in a Los Angeles setting. The first six episodes dropped Tuesday on most social media channels.

More about The R3al Metaverse
As mentioned previously, the first six episodes of The R3al Metaverse are now available. You can view them on TikTok, Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and the project’s website. Each week, two episodes will be released, with each episode about one to two minutes long.
The animated parody is a fusion of the most beloved NFTs and reality TV shows like “The Real World” or “Big Brother.” The premise shows the previously mentioned characters from the five blue-chip projects leaving the Metaverse to settle in a luxury mansion right smack at the heart of Los Angeles.
Each of the 34 episodes will reveal the evolution of the characters’ relationships and their thoughts and feelings. The creators at Invisible Universe used one NFT from each collection and generated a full-body 3D character.

Each character will have a distinct personality and background. For instance, WoW’s Journey is a mindful and spiritual woman, while Doodles’ Claudine is sarcastic and straightforward. The R3al Metaverse’s story will revolve around how the characters’ personality types would collide as they live together in one home and how they will deal with each other.
Perks for NFT Holders
The R3al Metaverse project will mint 7200 Producers Pass NFTs. Holders of the NFT will be free to contribute creatively to the show by writing confessional interviews and creating storylines throughout the season. The Producers Pass NFTs would serve as its holders’ Twitter banner, with traits that combine the cast and iconic locations in Los Angeles.
Holders of any of the five NFTs used in the show will get the chance to have their NFTs animated and brought onto the show for cameo appearances on The R3al Metaverse.
“While other animated series would take years to develop and get to market, Invisible Universe is uniquely positioned to launch an entire series and NFT collection in a matter of months,” said Seven Seven Six founder and Invisible Universe investor Alexis Ohanian. “There’s something special about seeing your NFT come to life as I’ve gotten to experience watching Pete go from a .jpeg to 3D character, and I’m excited for Producers Pass holders to have the same opportunity I did.”
The Team Behind The R3al Metaverse
In the get-go, we mentioned that the team behind the reality TV-inspired animated parody The R3al Metaverse is Invisible Universe, a leading animation studio.
The company is building The R3al Metaverse off its success in popularizing character IP on traditional platforms. It applies its learnings from its existing characters to the show’s development. Some of its hit characters are Qai Qai (Serena Williams’ daughter’s doll brought to life), Clydeo (Jennifer Aniston’s best furry friend and foodie), Squeaky & Roy (the long-lost toys of Charli and Dixie D’Amelio), and Ember (the daughter of the devil).
“Invisible Universe has demonstrated an ability to build indelible animated IP in public across social media platforms. We approach storytelling in an egoless way, listening to the community about what they love and want to see more of in our stories. We believe the next generation of consumers is going to demand to be more a part of the development of their favorite entertainment franchises,” said Tricia Biggio, CEO of Invisible Universe. “This series has endless possibilities, whether it’s a spinoff, new characters or even a longer form series. We’ll see where our community guides us for Season 2 and beyond.”
Incidentally, Williams, Aniston, and the D’Amelio family are some of the high-profile celebrities who are Invisible Universe partners. Leading technology and media investors supporting the company include Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, Initialized Capital, CASSIUS, Dreamers VC, Williams, and Aniston.
