Paris Hilton has partnered with Metaverse platform The Sandbox to build a virtual mansion where the hotel heiress will host parties and create a real-life experience for her fans.

Hotel heiress and certified “crypto queen” Paris Hilton announced this week that she, through her 11:11 Media company, has collaborated with Metaverse platform The Sandbox. Hilton will build a virtual mansion, bringing her world to The Sandbox’s immersive virtual gaming world.

According to The Sandbox, Hilton “is planning social and community events such as rooftop parties and glamorous social experiences” for her fans, which will be hosted in her virtual Malibu mansion. The mansion will come with 11 versions of Hilton-inspired avatars.

    Virtual Mansion on The Sandbox

Hilton’s vision for her virtual mansion is to have a place where she can host parties and allow her fans to connect and uniquely interact with her. The hotel heiress wants to deepen her Web3 presence by expanding it to The Sandbox Metaverse, and her team is hard at work to reach this goal and build a real-life experience for the socialite’s fans.

“Snoop Dogg released his world in there, which is incredible, and I was so excited when I saw that,” she said in an interview. “I’m really excited to bring Paris world all over—we’re going to be working with a couple [of] other platforms.”

Aside from hosting virtual parties, Hilton also plans to sell Paris-inspired NFTs. She says The Sandbox virtual mansion is just the beginning of what she hopes to build.

“Right now, we’re mostly focusing on the experiences and not the monetization because that’s just not the focus right now,” Hilton said. “But we are going to be doing digital wearables and working with different brands, and there’s a lot of exciting projects I can’t announce yet.”

The virtual mansion on The Sandbox would essentially be an extension of the “Paris Hilton World” she built inside Roblox late last year. Hilton’s Roblox presence is her first foray into the Metaverse.

She launched Paris Hilton World with a virtual New Year’s Eve party in which her avatar DJ’ed. Then, around the time of Coachella, Hilton DJ’ed what she called a “Neon Carnival” festival. According to Roblox, over 500,000 fans have already visited Hilton’s virtual world. However, they are keeping mum on how much revenue it has generated.

“On New Year’s Eve, I was DJing in the Maldives. It was my honeymoon, and I was playing, and there [were] more people at Paris World than there was at New York Times Square,” Hilton said. “At the Neon Carnival, we had almost half a million people there, and in the real-life party, there [were] 5,000. That’s the power of the Metaverse where you can have people from all around the world be able to enjoy and experience things that are usually, you know, exclusive events.”

For Hilton, establishing a virtual presence offers the best opportunity to reach more people without the actual rigors of physical travel. That was something she did before the Covid-19 pandemic, traveling to different places 250 times a year.

    The “Crypto Queen”

Hilton has earned a reputation as a “crypto queen,” having been a crypto investor since 2016, long before its meteoric rise and fall. She has also been selling NFTs since April 2021, and before the current bear market, she sold one NFT for more than $1 million. This time, Hilton wants to connect her real-world businesses with her digital ones.

“We want to be able to do [something] where people could buy the tracksuit and then also get a digital version for their avatar to wear,” Hilton said. “That’s what we’re going to be doing a lot of—things that are happening in real life. I’m going to have them also be happening in the Metaverse at the same time.”

Her company, 11:11 Media, is a private company and doesn’t disclose financials. Nevertheless, she did say that its business has doubled from last year to the present and expects to generate tens of millions of dollars in profit this year through her Web3 endeavors.
