The identity of Bubblegum Kids NFT co-founder, who also happens to be a longtime BAYC member, has just been revealed.
The co-founder of the Bubblegum Kids NFT project, who also happens to be a longtime member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club community, doxxed himself earlier today. The person, who also interacts on Twitter at @Bubblegum_NFT, is none other than professional hockey player Zach Hyman.
The 30-year-old Edmonton Oilers forward released a 79-second video using his @Bubblegum_NFT alias’ official Twitter account.
The Big Bubblegum Kids NFT Reveal
Doxxed is a Metaverse slang for documented. Typically, players in the Metaverse go by pseudonyms and aliases, and people have no idea who these players are in the real world because they choose to remain anonymous.
Usually, when these anonymous personas become doxxed, someone else does the doxxing. In Hyman’s case, he chose to reveal his true identity because he is proud of the brand he has created alongside his brother, Oliver Hyman.
In the video, Hyman said he and his brother are excited to reveal their identities and tell everyone they are the brains behind the Bubblegum Kids NFT project. He thanked everyone who has been hyping the project, especially on Twitter, but he directed his thanks mainly to parents who allowed their kids to enjoy it.
According to Hyman, aside from being the co-founder of Bubblegum Kids NFT and a pro hockey player, he also moonlights as an award-winning children’s author. He is also the CEO of SoaR Gaming, which means he has extensive knowledge and background in the Web2 world.
Hyman said he is looking forward to growing the Bubblegum Kids NFT project with his brother, making it a global brand with the help of its community members. He expressed his love for the NFT community and everyone who has made one of the very few kid-friendly NFT projects popular.
Incidentally, Hyman is a longtime BAYC NFT community member, being a holder of one himself. His Ape is BAYC #610, a five-trait pink fur primate wearing a black BAYC cap and blowing bubblegum with its bored mouth.
The Bubblegum Kids NFT
The Bubblegum Kids NFT project is a 10,000-piece collection of kid-themed cartoon avatar NFTs launched on the Ethereum Blockchain in January 2022. Holders of these NFTs automatically gain access to the team’s DAO, airdrops, and future free-to-mint NFTs.
Its average floor price is Ξ 0.18 or about $189, while its current floor price is Ξ 0.13 or about $136. Its market cap over the last 30 days is $2,220,311. The stats are just right for an NFT project that targets kids, and Hyman is bullish about its potential and further growth.
Hyman is inviting Bubblegum Kids NFT holders and non-holders to join him on July 6 for a Twitter Spaces session. He and his brother will further discuss the NFT project and their plans for it in the Spaces.
Hyman has played in the NHL for seven years as a professional hockey player. He was drafted 123rd overall in 2010 by the Florida Panthers, but it wasn’t until the 2015-2016 season that he started playing for the league under the Toronto Maple Leafs team.
Last summer, he left the team as an unrestricted free agent to ink a seven-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers worth $38.5 million. It is said that it was with the Oilers that he delivered the best season of his NFL career in goals, assists, and points, tallying 27-27-54 mainly due to his willingness to chase down loose pucks and attack the net no matter where he is in the line-up. Hyman has scored 113 goals and 239 points in his professional hockey career.
