Finally, Goblintown NFT’s McGoblin Burger is open for business. Here’s everything you need to know about this drop.
After two weeks of looking forward to this new drop, Goblintown NFT’s McGoblin Burger is finally open for business. On Saturday, Twitter user @0xQuit laid out everything he knows about McGoblin Burger.
Each Goblin has access to one burger, so there’s no room for greedy ones out here. However, before we go into everything you need to know about this drop, let’s refresh our memories about Goblintwon NFT first.
The Dark Horse Called Goblintown
Contrary to the term used to describe the bear market, Goblintown NFT is a collection of 10,000 NFTs that feature every hideous creature you could think of. However, at a time when the crypto market was experiencing a decline, Goblintown raked in $7 million in sales volume in just one week.
Allegations that it was a secret project by Yuga Labs could be why the NFT collection rose in popularity at the end of May. As of writing, Goblintown NFTs trade for Ξ 5.84, or about $11,140, on OpenSea. Such is a noteworthy feat, considering the NFTs were free to mint in the first place.
Going back to Goblintown NFT’s burger business, let’s see what’s in store for everyone now that McGoblin Burger is officially in business.
Toppings, Anyone?
Based on @0xQuit’s Twitter thread, users can avail of the McGoblin Burger meal. However, users will need to “esemblSNAK” (assemble snack) for the burger for it to work.
As mentioned earlier, only Goblintown NFT holders can claim a burger. The contract below shows that users can have up to six toppings in their burger—frize, slop, meet, meltee, stuf, and grippe.

Another function, “esemblSNAKfordaking” (assemble snack for the king), allows the Goblin King to get a free McGoblin Burger without minting it.

“Oopsy” and “Utilipee”
Two other functions in the McGoblin Burger contract are “Oopsy” and “Utilipee.” These two functions have a bearing on a McGoblin Burger’s metadata. As @0xQuit explains, if a user’s Goblin has an “Oopsy,” it will be reflected on the metadata, and none of the ingredients will matter. For now, there is no concrete answer as to the purpose of the “Oopsy.”

As for the “Utilipee” function, a Goblin NFT owner who disables it will show the McGoblin Burger’s metadata consisting of all selected toppings. However, if a Goblin NFT owner enables it but doesn’t have an “Oopsy,” the resulting McGoblin Burger will have its own unique metadata.
That is short of saying that burger toppings are not the only ones that can affect the McGoblin Burger varieties. Knowing this only heightens anticipation for the revelation of other unique burgers soon.
Where to Grab McGoblin Burgers
Here’s the good news. As @0xQuit points out in his lengthy Twitter thread, users can consume (or burn) their McGoblin Burgers by going through the “NOMZ” function.
The “NOMZ” function happens on a separate contract and, as @0xQuit assumed, will affect Goblin NFTs who “ate” their burgers. If you’re familiar with Yuga Labs’s M1, M2, and Mega mutant serums that work like a charm on Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, the “NOMZ” function works in a similar manner.

When does the “NOMZ” function become available? As the contract shows, the Goblins will “mek eet sumday” (make it someday). So, wait and make sure to grab that McGoblin Burger first.
