Gmoney will be launching Admit One, an exclusive NFT collection, to a select group of individuals through a free mint.
On Thursday, GMoney announced that he was building a community called Admit One on his official Twitter account. This community will be marked with the launch of an exclusive NFT collection, also called admit one, that will be released to a select group of individuals via a free mint.
The free mint was to pay homage to CryptoPunk’s iconic free mint back when it was launched. The Admit One NFTs will be a member’s ticket into the GMoney ecosystem, which will be a 1,000-member private group composed of Web3 enthusiasts, builders, and thought leaders.
Inspiration for Admit One
According to GMoney, the community he is building will be made up of like-minded people who understand the importance of disrupting traditional industries and increasing the adoption of cryptographic technologies.
Admit One NFT holders will gain access to a diverse and dynamic yet close-knit community. However, since only 1,000 NFTs will be included in the free mint, GMoney and his team ensured the NFTs would be allocated appropriately.
The first 11 Admit One tickets will go to 11 wallets that own all three Bitcoin Miami NFTs from GMoney’s three-day proof of attendance protocol (POAP) event at Bitcoin Miami in June of last year. GMoney said these NFT holders had been there with him since day one, and reserving the first 11 tickets for them was a show of gratitude.
The remainder of the Admit One NFTs will be allocated as follows:
- Two hundred (200) spots will go to a handful of individuals who will be valuable to the community. According to GMoney, more than half of these individuals are influential women in the NFT space.
- Six hundred ninety-eight (698) spots will be reserved for those who received POAPs from Bitcoin Miami.
- Sixty (60) spots will be for Admit One partners and team members.
- Thirty (30) spots will be reserved for future distribution.
Should there be any tokens left, GMoney says those will be distributed in the future, too.
Why Make the Minting Free?
It’s hard to believe that the Admit One minting is 100% free, but GMoney has several reasons why he opted to do it. First, he wants a community that determines the collection’s value, and not him. He also wants everyone in the community, him included, to aim toward the same direction by being in the same boat. GMoney is practicing what he is preaching, and profiting from the mint will be contradictory.
More importantly, as mentioned previously, the free mint is for all those who have supported him from the very start, like his POAP holders.
GMoney Marketplace
Concurrent with the launch of the Admit One NFTs, GMoney will also be launching a zero-free marketplace for everything related to the GMoney brand. Listings will include the Adidas “Into the Metaverse” NFT, the GMoney Brick Breaker game by GM420, and the Admit One NFTs.
Seemingly, users will be able to see listings from other marketplaces like OpenSea and LooksRare within the GMoney marketplace. However, only listings on the GMoney market will be zero-free. The other marketplaces will charge fees respectively for transactions made on them.
GMoney conceptualized the marketplace since he wanted one where people could transact without worrying about getting scammed by fraudulent collections. Also, it is a way to offer the community members an intimate and curated experience that encompasses each hallmark of the GMoney experience.
