Cool Cats NFT recently held a town hall to update users on the progress of their Cooltopia game. Based on the beta testing results, it looks like the game will be a big hit.
Cool Cats NFT’s Cooltopia is already receiving rave reviews from some people despite being in the beta testing phase. In a recent town hall session, the development team behind Cooltopia said that there were a little over 600 beta testers, which they called Beetah testers, for Cooltopia.
Thanks to these Beetah testers, we know what’s in store for all of us from this latest project from Cool Cats.
The Beta Testing Phase
From a Beetah tester’s perspective, Cooltopia is bound to be a hit for several reasons. According to Beetah tester @blazingnimnrod’s Twitter post, he is “ultimately bullish on the project’s direction.”
He said the game’s interoperability element makes it possible for in-game items, supply boxes, and upgrades to appear in players’ wallets. Also, players have two options when buying items—they can purchase them in-game or from marketplaces like OpenSea.
As far as the game’s tokenomics goes, the Beetah tester said players could earn $milk (Cool Cats NFT’s token) by completing quests with a pet or holding a cat. “While this issuance schedule will pump $milk supply, I expect demand (buying supplies, marketplace items, etc.) to keep pace,” he said.
Another noteworthy thing about the game is its pacing, which will keep players highly engaged. For instance, a pet maxing out quests on its own will reach final form in ~20 days. However, it could be ~10 days if quests are performed with a cat depending on the tier. The items chosen will impact the final form of a pet and extend the timeline to 30 or more days; thus, players will have to pick carefully.
What is noteworthy about the game is the fast-loading, user-friendly, and aesthetically-pleasing website. Users also don’t need to pay gas fees, and blockchain confirmations can be settled quickly.
Results of the Beetah Testing
The Cool Cats development team held a town hall soon after the launch of the Beetah testing last April 9 to update users on the game’s progress. At the town hall, the team said they would go over the gathered data from Beetah testers to determine the next stage of the development.
The team also said they would be airdropping participation NFTs to wallets active on-site during the beta testing. The NFTs will have utility in the future, but the team cannot yet disclose the airdrop date as they are currently focusing on game data. They also announced that participants in past beta tests would receive the airdrop even if they didn’t participate in this latest test.
They said they would not close the Beetah to allow people to continue testing should they wish to do so in their own time.
What’s Next for Cooltopia and the Team?
At the town hall, the development team discussed that $milk would be reset and accelerated once the game launches. They also said they would double milk earnings for the duration of time Cooltopia’s opening will be delayed.
They also assured users that they are currently hard at work and would release pets as soon as they had guaranteed that everything would run smoothly for the community. Also, among the things that they are planning for the community is expanding communication channels based on feedback from community discussions.
