There is a rising threat to the Bored Apes Yacht Club, the Gutter Gang. Namely, the Gutter Cat Gang. Just like BAYC, they formed an exclusive social club. Gutter Cats are at the top of the pile, with Rats, Pigeons, and Dogs under them. Each Gutter caste represents another layer of access that leads to community perks. At the top level of the hierarchy, Gutter Cats are the fewest in number, at only 3,000.
Their average floor price is Ξ6.52, and they rank 81st by total sales, as a relatively new entry from last summer. Presently, Gutter Cats have accumulated $54.67 million market capitalization, across 36,143 members and 1,795 owners.

However, the recent spike in volume trade you see on the far right has created some controversy in the Gutter Cat community.
Gutter Cat Gang Juice Drops
As they say, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. However, some may view it as a lack of creative spark. This is the scenario unfolding in the Gutter Cat Gang community with the drop of Gutter Juice, eerily similar to BAYC Mutant Serum.
A total of 28,000 Gutter mutant vials contain DNA from the four strata of Gutter species — Cats, Rats, Pigeons, and Dogs, covering each with 7,000 vials. On March 8, public dutch auction started with 16,000 Guter Juice NFTs on offer, set at Ξ0.9 per vial.

Following the auction, 12,000 vials will be equally distributed to all Gutter species holders in the Gutter City. For what purpose?
Why, to redeem Gutter Clones, of course, in which the vial’s DNA content will be burned, but with no expiry date. Without a target NFT for the vial, the Clone Machine simply delivers a Gutter Clone with randomized features.

While all this is coming online in the following weeks, the question is, is Gutter Cat Gang stealing BAYC’s thunder? Well, who cares if Gutter Juice makes it possible for newcomers to enter the club at a very low price. Keep in mind, Gutter Juice’s present floor price is only Ξ0.188, with 7.8k owners.
However, given that 12k goes to OG Gutter holders, there is not much DNA serum left for new Gutter Cat Clones. The final question is, who is poised to be more popular, apes or cats? If only we could draw some conclusion from popular meme culture before anyone even heard of NFTs…
